Meet Chas Betts

The Man

I am a husband, father, and follower of Jesus.
I’ve been with my wife, Kristi, my high school sweetheart, since 2003. Together we’ve built a life chasing down dreams — and we’ve done it as a team. At the forefront of our lives currently, is raising three beautiful kids in Minnesota.

The Olympic Athlete

I grew up in Saint Michael, Minnesota with two dreams that anyone close to me knew well: make the Olympic Wrestling Team, and become a Pro-Wrestler for WWE. I decided I was going to do both through the application of an undying work ethic that I’ve since become known for.
I became a Minnesota State Champion in wrestling, then a multiple-time national champion, eventually earning a spot on the U.S. Greco-Roman World Championship Team. Over nine years as an elite amateur wrestler, I trained and competed in more than 40 countries — a life built entirely around the pursuit of one goal. In 2012, I won the U.S. Olympic Trials at 84 kg Greco-Roman and represented the United States at the London Games. For most people, that’s a full story. For me, it was the first chapter.
In late 2013, I signed with WWE. Under the ring name Chad Gable, I went on to capture the NXT, SmackDown, and Raw Tag Team Championships — and performed on the WrestleMania stage multiple times.
One childhood dream realized. The other still very much alive.

The Education

The athlete is only part of the picture.

I hold a BFA from Northern Michigan University in Electronic Imaging with a focus in Digital Cinema and Motion Graphics, and a Master’s Degree in Media Design from Full Sail University. Storytelling, design, and visual media aren’t side interests — they’re a genuine calling I’ve been developing for years alongside my athletic career.

What’s Next

Outside of the ring, I’m genuinely passionate about filmmaking, media design, and public speaking — and I’m eager to explore where those interests can take me. Training, nutrition, gym equipment, and gym culture are also a huge part of who I am and always have been. I’m looking to connect with people who are serious about what they’re building across any of these spaces.
If there’s a conversation worth having or a collaboration worth exploring, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
